Description

Starting Dose: 1 tablet (500 mg) three times daily with meals (totaling 1,500 mg/day).
Administration: Tablets should be chewed or crushed; do not swallow whole.

Timing Considerations:
- Take acetylsalicylic acid, cephalexin, and doxycycline at least 1 hour before Dephos.
- Take levothyroxine at least 4 hours before Dephos.
Other Medications: For oral drugs not listed, consider separating administration times to avoid reduced bioavailability .

Common side effects include discolored feces (12%) and diarrhea (6%) in hemodialysis patients .

Pregnancy Category B: Animal studies have not shown harm to the fetus, but there are no adequate studies in pregnant women.
